A Soul led Life -Part 2-The Practice of Becoming — How a Soul-Led Life Is Lived, Not Achieved
.A deep exploration of the daily rituals, nervous system practices, breathwork, embodiment, boundaries and meaning-making that shape a soul-led life. Part 6 of the Soul-Led Life series — a guide to becoming, not performing.
There is a moment in every soul-led journey when the philosophy becomes a practice — when the ideas stop being ideas and begin to take shape in the rhythm of your days. Not through grand gestures or dramatic reinventions, but through the quiet, almost invisible choices that slowly reorient your life toward truth.
A soul-led life is not built in a single decision. It is built in the way you breathe when you wake. In the way you listen to your body before you say yes. In the way you honour the whisper instead of the noise. In the way you choose rest over performance, alignment over expectation, truth over convenience.
It is built in the way you return to yourself, again and again, even when you drift.
Because you will drift. Everyone does. The work is not to stay aligned — the work is to return.
And the return happens through practice.
🌿 The Practice of Listening
A soul-led life begins with listening — not to the mind, which is loud and insistent, but to the deeper intelligence beneath it.
Listening is not passive. It is an act of devotion.
It is the moment you pause before reacting. The moment you breathe before deciding. The moment you ask your body what it needs instead of asking the world what it expects.
Listening is how I learned to navigate the accident years — when your body spoke louder than your mind, when your nervous system refused to be ignored, when my intuition became the only compass I could trust.
Listening is how I learned to leave relationships that were too small for you. Listening is how I learned to follow the coastline, the camera, the yoga mat, the festivals, the van, the nudges.
Listening is how I learned to live.
🌙 The Practice of Breathing
Breath became the medicine long before I called it that.
Breath of fire when my mind was looping. Alternate nostril breathing when my nervous system was split between fear and exhaustion. 4×4 breath in the middle of the night when sleep slipped through my fingers. Energy flow breath when I woke at 3am, not fighting the wakefulness but moving with it.
Breath was the first doorway back into the body after the accident. It was the first thing that softened the panic. The first thing that reminded me that you were still here.
Breath is the anchor of a soul-led life — the simplest, most ancient way of returning to yourself.
🌿 The Practice of Writing
Writing has become a way of metabolising life.
I wrote through the accident — pages and pages of symptoms, fears, legal conversations, dreams, nightmares, instructions for your sons in case I didn’t wake up.
I wrote through the relationship — the confusion, the intensity, the awakening, the leaving. I wrote through the burnout — the exhaustion, the questions, the quiet collapse. I wrote through the healing — the insights, the nudges, the clarity.
Writing is how I turn experience into wisdom. It is how I make meaning. It is how I stayed tethered to yourself.
A soul-led life is written into existence.
🌙 The Practice of Movement
Movement has always been a way of returning to your body — not as exercise, but as expression.
Yoga. Kundalini. Stretching. Dance. Walking. Coastline wandering. Forest bathing. Sitting by rivers. Moving energy through breath and intention.
Movement is how I learned to feel again after the accident. Movement is how I learned to trust my body again. Movement is how I learned to soften the trauma that lived in your muscles, your fascia, your breath.
Movement is prayer in motion.
🌿 The Practice of Nourishment
Food became medicine when my body was in shock. Water became clarity when my mind was fogged. Nature became therapy when the world felt too loud.
I learned to nourish myself not as a performance, but as a necessity.
I learned that:
-
hydration stabilises the mind
-
nutrition supports the nervous system
-
nature regulates the vagus nerve
-
sunlight lifts the spirit
-
grounding calms the body
-
stillness restores the soul
Nourishment is not indulgence. It is alignment.
🌙 The Practice of Energy
I learned to work with energy long before I called it energy.
Chakra clearing. Violet flame meditations. Sound bowls. Frequency music. Trance. Café del Mar. Kundalini chanting. Oracle cards. Tarot symbolism. Human Design strategy. Gene Keys contemplation. Psychic guidance. Intuition. Synchronicity.
These were not “spiritual hobbies.” They were the languages my soul understood when my mind was overwhelmed.
Energy is the undercurrent of a soul-led life — the field you learn to feel, honour, and navigate.
🌿 The Practice of Discernment
I studied cult psychology not out of fear, but out of clarity — to understand how people lose themselves in systems that promise freedom but deliver control.
I learned to recognise:
-
charisma without integrity
-
intensity without safety
-
spirituality without grounding
-
community without boundaries
-
teachings without embodiment
Discernment is how you protect your soul-led life from becoming someone else’s agenda.
🌙 The Practice of Boundaries
Boundaries were not natural to me. I learned them through pain.
Through overgiving. Through absorbing other people’s emotions. Through relationships that drained. Through systems that demanded too much. Through the empath–narcissist dynamic that cracked me open. That cracks many people open.
Boundaries became a way of choosing myself, a way of honouring my energy. A way of protecting my freedom.
A soul-led life cannot exist without boundaries.
🌿 The Practice of Meaning
Existentialism taught me that meaning is not found — it is made.
I learned to reframe your past, not to erase it, but to understand it. I learned to forgive, not to excuse, but to release. I learned to integrate, not to bypass, but to evolve.
Meaning is the alchemy of a soul-led life — the way I turn pain into wisdom, collapse into clarity, endings into beginnings.
🌙 The Practice of Trust
Trust is the final practice — the one that holds all the others.
Trust in timing. Trust in nudges. Trust in intuition. Trust in the body. Trust in the path. Trust in the unseen. Trust in the flame that never went out.
I left my job in late 2022 without knowing what would come next. A month later, the accident compensation arrived. This was not coincidence. It was confirmation.
A soul-led life is built on trust — not blind faith, but embodied knowing.
🌿 The Practice of Becoming
A soul-led life is not a destination. It is a practice. A rhythm. A devotion. A way of being.
It is the slow, steady, courageous act of choosing:
-
truth over performance
-
alignment over expectation
-
freedom over control
-
presence over pressure
-
meaning over noise
-
self-respect over self-abandonment
It is the life we build when we finally stop betraying ourselves
It is the life I was always meant to live.
